The parties involved agree on the sale-purchase of energy and capacity by specific quantities, prices, and terms. The contracts between generators and distributors are in the form of an energy sale-purchase agreement, where the generators sell amounts of capacity and energy at the distributor´s point of consumption, independently of where it is generated; nevertheless, the energy sale agreements do not involve the buyer in the economic dispatch of the seller.
